In celebration of our 10th anniversary, we present the MQG Modern Classics. This quarterly collection is a selection of a few of our past favorites from the Quilt of the Month series, which started in 2015. With new colors, new arrangements, new possibilities, MQG members can find the full patterns on the Resources page.

About the Designer
Riane is a modern quilter, designer, and writer living in Denver by way of Des Moines. She is the author of the selfpublished book, Inheritance: Minimal Quilts for the Modern Home, and writes patterns for minimalist, handcrafted quilts. She finishes all her quilts with high-contrast hand quilting, a technique she loves for its ability to create texture and layers of design. Her work and writing has appeared in Modern Patchwork, QuiltCon Magazine, Curated Quilts and others, and her quilts have been displayed at QuiltCon, as well as in exhibits like the Best of QuiltCon 2019 and Modern Quilts: Designs of the New Century, both currently on display around the globe. In her day job, Riane works as the brand director for Quiltfolk magazine.
