Lady Zen is the name of this quilt for a reason. It makes you embrace the pattern as well as the spaces in between. It makes you see symmetry and chaos at the same time. The balance is in the abstract direction of the squares and triangles. It is a simply built quilt with a feel for high design.

About the Contributor

An artist by trade. A poet, an actor, and a textile artist/Quilter. A modern quilter that loves to meditate on space when making quilts. Her quilts and art pieces are visual poems, they spark conversation and meditation simultaneously. Not a follower of patterns most of the time, however when she does embrace a pattern she makes it feel like its still abstract in some way. Karen most enjoys the art of design. She loves improvisation and mistakes that become art. There are absolutely no mistakes in her art, she feels they are transitions into perfection.
