QuiltCon Scholarship Applications Information

Are you a member and do you want to apply for a scholarship to attend QuiltCon? Applications are now open.

Members may choose to apply for one of the following awards:

Travel + Registration:

Roundtrip airfare for one attendee, up to $500; three nights hotel in Atlanta, up to $750 total; and registration for an all-access lecture pass AND two three-hour workshops or one six-hour workshop.

Travel Only:

Roundtrip airfare for one attendee, up to $500; and three nights hotel in Atlanta, up to $750 total; an all-access lecture pass is also included.

The QuiltCon Attendee Scholarship(s) are awarded by the MQG so that recipients may be exposed to resources, gain experience, and be encouraged in their quilting endeavors.  

Applications are due by 8 am Central Time on Wednesday, July 27, 2022.

Recipients will be notified by Thursday, August 11. QuiltCon registration for MQG members opens Tuesday, August 16.

What does the application involve?

There will be several questions about you, and you’ll also need a list of classes or lectures you would like to attend. We also ask for a response to the following question:

Our mission is to support and encourage the growth and development of modern quilting through art, education, and community.  The Modern Quilt Guild has established this scholarship program in order to help fulfill this mission. Focusing your answer on one portion of the mission (art, education, or community), how will this scholarship help you encourage the growth and development of modern quilting?

In order to be as inclusive as possible, you may provide your response in the manner that is most comfortable to you, including but not limited to the following options:

  • written (please type your response in the box below or upload an image of your written response)
  • an illustration, drawing, or photo (please upload your JPG or JPEG file)
  • spoken word, limited to two minutes (upload your audio file)
