Yes, anyone can attend QuiltCon. All QuiltCon attendees must have a one-day show ticket or four-day show pass to attend the event.

Yes, many quilts are for sale at QuiltCon! All quilt sales will be available on the MQG website when the show opens.

A limited number of on-site rental scooters are available through our mobility partner, NC Mobility & Medical. It is highly recommended that if you know which days you will be attending QuiltCon, you pre-book your device by calling (800) 674-9349 or book online using their website.

Simply put, the contractual obligations of an event the size of QuiltCon would bankrupt the MQG if we attempted to cancel or move the event, and would end the MQG and QuiltCon as we know them.

Additionally, travel boycotts hurt innocent bystanders, especially residents, small businesses, and travel industry employees who depend on the meetings and events industry to make a living. There are more strategic ways to influence political policies that are less harmful to innocent bystanders that are just as, if not more, effective, such as donating to advocacy groups or using the gathering of like-minded people at an event to meet with other attendees and organize outreach activities. Events like QuiltCon bring people together, and attendees can leverage such a gathering to meet up and make plans for change.

We encourage MQG members to find ways to express their thoughts on this topic in quilts they submit for the show, as that can lead to a larger conversation and often press coverage as well to extend the conversation beyond our circle of members and makers.

Profile Questions

The most common reasons for a username and password not working are:

  • Your device or browser is hanging onto an old password, username, or even an old link to the MQG login. An easy way to test this is to use an incognito window to log in or use a different device and browser than you usually use.

    • To fix the problem, try clearing your cache and cookies and checking your saved passwords.

  • Another issue some members have is that auto-filled and copied/pasted entries aren't being fully seen.

    • To fix this, manually type in your username and password.

If neither of those works, send us an email to info@themodernquiltguild.com so we can assist you.

Go to your Profile and select the Update MQG Email Preferences link.

Note: Changing your MQG email preference will not update your online MQG Community email and notification settings.

Go to your Profile and click the "My Account" drop-down menu. Select both the "Email Preferences" and "Community Notifications" sections. To learn more about all of the different notification choices available for the MQG Community, check out the Email Notifications Guide.

Note: Changing your MQG Community notifications and emails will not affect your MQG email preference (for example, the Modern Monday).

Click on the Membership Card link in your Profile. Then use the print function in your browser.
