Positively Transparent explores transparency within a modern plus sign design achieving a layered effect to the plus signs. The original Positively Transparent measuring just 16″ x 18″ was displayed at QuiltCon 2016 in the Small Quilts category. The mini quilt was started in a workshop with Lizzy House focusing on elements and principles of design. Armed with colored pencils and blank graph paper, I drew simple plus signs and focused on transparency within the design. I hope you have fun mixing colors and fabrics to create your own version of Positively Transparent.

About the Contributor

Paige started quilting almost 15 years ago when she joined her local traditional guild and with the vast inspiration available on the internet she soon discovered modern quilting. She loves a good challenge and two of her quilts have won awards in the MQG QuiltCon challenges, the Michael Miller fabric challenge in 2015 and the APQ Nine Patch challenge in 2017. Paige was instrumental in the formation of the Greenville (SC) chapter of the Modern Quilt Guild and currently serves as treasurer.
