QuiltCon Refunds, Cancellations, & Transfers

Refunds will be processed based on the date of your cancellation. No same-day payment/refunds will be processed. Refunds can only take place 24 hours or later after your original purchase.

If you cancel between:

  • Before Sept. 15, 2025 – 90% refund

  • September 15 – September 30: 80% refund

  • October 1 – October 31: 70% refund

  • November 1 – December 31: 50% refund

No refunds after December 31, 2025.

QuiltCon Workshop & Lecture Transfers

Transfers are an alternative to canceling an educational session at QuiltCon. You can transfer all or part of your registration during the two transfer periods. The Modern Quilt Guild will not refund any monies paid for a transferred educational session; rather, payment is coordinated directly with the person to whom you’re transferring an item. 

Advance Transfers 
$25 per transfer, charged to original purchaser
November 1, 2025 - February 1, 2026 via e-mail to register@themodernquiltguild.com 

How to do an Advance Transfer:
1. Sort out who is buying what and handle any exchange of monies.
2. Original purchaser emails the MQG at register@themodernquiltguild.com to indicate what is being transferred and to whom, including the e-mail address of the new purchaser, between November 1, 2025, and February 1, 2026.
3. MQG charges $25 per transfer to the original purchaser who is responsible for payment. Once payment is made, the administrative work to complete the transfer takes place, and confirmation e-mails are sent to all parties.

Onsite Transfers: workshops only
$40 per transfer, charged to the buyer
February 18-22, 2026 at QuiltCon

How to do an Onsite Transfer:
1. Sort out who is buying what and handle any exchange of monies.
2. Original purchaser emails the buyer to indicate what is being transferred and to whom, including their e-mail address. This email must originate from the e-mail address of the original registration.
3. Transfer recipient comes to the Registration Desk onsite at the Convention Center with a copy (electronic or print) of the e-mail from the original purchaser indicating the transfer authorization. $40 is charged to the transfer recipient at the desk and then MQG performs the administrative tasks of the transfer.

NOTE: Onsite transfers are for workshops only. Lectures are non-transferrable onsite.

Service Fees

All registration transactions are subject to a 2.5% service fee. The fee is calculated as a percentage of the total transaction amount and supports the costs associated with using top of the line registration software, credit card processing, and security protocols.
