News (Cycle) by Fade Resistant

In the aftermath of the overturning of Roe v Wade a group of quilters connected online. Their goal is to keep the topic of abortion as a fundamental human right front and center, even as the news cycle shifts focus and moves on. A major point in the argument for the overturning of Roe v Wade was that abortion did not have a foundation in American history or tradition, therefore calling it out as a societal shift. This group of artists asks the viewer to consider where the real shift is taking place. Where are the colors moving? Where are the women, stitched by an unknown maker going? Sunny Sues or Dystopian Handmaids a la Atwood, the answers are open!
