Floatwork by the Ann Arbor MQG

This quilt was designed based on a pattern that comes out of a woven structure commonly called overshot or perhaps more accurately termed floatwork. It is a combination of improv and conventional piecing. We used 8 colors in our gradient. We had 17 members of our guild contribute to its making, about a third of our membership. It was quilted by Kathy Koch of Threadbear Quilting in Adrian, Michigan.
