How much does it cost?
Shared Rooms and Local Packages are extremely limited, we expect them to sell out quickly, do not delay on booking these the Shared Room or Local Package option.

Can I register for only one or two workshops?
I'm local and don't need a hotel room, how should I register?
Can I choose who I room with?
Can I be in the same class as my friends?
We will make every effort to have friends be in classes together. During registration you’ll have the option to indicate who you'd like to schedule classes with.
It would appear to me that we check in on the Friday and out on Sunday. Is late check out included as the lectures are on until 5pm?
You can request this from the hotel, we will have an area to store baggage for attendees on Sunday.
Is there a pre/post night available?
Yes, at $179 per night plus tax. We’re happy to reserve the room nights for you, but you will need to pay charges directly to the hotel at the SewDown. You will have the option to request additional nights during the registration process.
Is parking included?
It is not included. For SewDown Portland, the parking fee is and is $39.00 per day plus tax with unlimited in and out. For SewDown Nashville, the parking fee is $12/day for self-parking and $18/day for valet parking.
How many participants will be in each workshop?
My partner will be travelling with me, what would be the cost of a meal only package?
A Partner Meal Only Package is $350. There is no member discount on this package. Please register for the single room, so we don’t put you with a roommate, then email us after you register with your confirmation code and we add a registration for a Partner Meal Only Package and collect payment.
Do we bring our own sewing machines?
Sewing machines are available to be used. When you register, please tell us if you would like a machine provided or will be bringing your own.
What sewing supplies are provided?
Rotary cutters, mats, irons and ironing boards are provided.
What should I bring?
Please bring the supplies needed for each workshop. Supply lists are provided on the MQG website under the events tab. In addition, students should bring a basic sewing kit to each class that includes a quilting ruler, scissors, pins and thread. If you would like your own cutting space, we recommend bringing an 18” x 24” cutting mat.
How do I get the member discount?
The member discount is only available to individual MQG members and MQG members whose guilds have joined the national MQG organization at this time. A registration discount code is available on the Community page of the password-required MQG website.
What is the refund and cancellation policy?
You can cancel at anytime, there are no refunds on cancellations. If there is a waitlist, there will be a $75 fee to transfer your registration, and you will be refunded the cost of the SewDown. No transfers will be processed after April 1st.
